The Importance of Child Growth

UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD
We capitalize on the children’s natural curiosity for living things in their desire to investigate materials, to explore their immediate environment, and to find out about the world around them. We encourage them to observe, use all their senses to question, discuss objects and situations, notice similarities and differences, and make comparisons. We provide children with experiences that help their curiosity in various ways, including talking, visualizing, painting and modeling.

EATING AND DRINKING
We strive to have a healthy setting status by letting children have access to water throughout the day and providing fruits, vegetables, and healthy snacks. Children are also allowed to bring their food and drinks if parents desire. (Our setting is a nut-free setting).

BEHAVIOUR MANAGEMENT
We always encourage positive behavior in our setting and seek to develop a positive environment based upon realistic expectations of considerate behavior, drawing strength from practice consistency and constant encouragement. In undesirable behavior cases, a child will be given every help positively and will aid to encourage him or her to overcome any difficulties. We also reward the kids for making good choices.

SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION
Child protection is a high priority in our setting, and we are committed to ensuring every child's safety. We trained in child protection and safeguarding. We are required to report any concerns we may have to the appropriate authority.

INDOOR AND OUTDOOR PLAY
We use our outdoor garden area as an extension of the setting. We also believe that the children should be have daily opportunities to play and exercise in the fresh air. The garden is a secure and safe environment, and the children can play in several areas, including a playhouse, sandpit, slide, and construction areas.

Value
All the children and their families are valued within our setting because we believe that children should be treated as individuals and have equal access to the resources available in the setting. We give the children every opportunity to achieve their best. We help them to do this by planning to meet the needs of every child.
